					With many successful years of junior golf, playing for the county and England boys, Alan Drake furthered his hobby by repairing Golf Clubs for local Pros and players. He continued his love of the game by working in the Pro-Shop at the Forest of Arden Warwickshire.

	Alan Drake decided to pursue his career in the Golf Industry, leaving the playing of the game for social times, he ventured into the manufacture of Golf Equipment. Starting his apprentice with Prosimmon Golf & Cobra Golf UK in assembly and production, speedily working his way up to Production Manager and Custom Build Specialist. At the tender age of 20, Alan took the plunge and commenced with his new career path of Business Owner and started GOLF SERVICES. Golf Doctor embarked on the practice of mass assembly of Golf Clubs, for UK companies, with high numbers of clubs being made to order, with fast turnarounds, regular deliveries with a personal service. Companies using the service were, Precision Made Golf, Prosimmon, Howson/Hippo, Fazer, Ram, Masters Golf to name a few. Alan and his small team would produce upto 6000 clubs per.week. During the first few years of business, Golf Doctor gained experience and reputation and specialised in Custom Build, restoration and consultant head design. Whilst assembly requirements for companies were rising, Alan, started creating machinery to manufacture his clubs, efficiently, professionally and cleanly, this enabled him to revolutionise his service for his customers. In 1997 Golf Doctor downsized their operation in order for Alan to commit time to his inventions and offer a more personal one-to-one service to his ever-growing clientele. He also offered companies manufacturing consultancy.
